Privacy & data governance

Data retention policy

We store the personal information we receive as described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use our Services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our Services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable laws. By default, a customer’s data is stored for the duration of his or her contract with Select Star. The data is deleted within one month after the contract ends, at the latest, with the exception of data that is required to establish proof of a right or a contract, which will be stored for the duration provided by enforceable law. Data archiving and removal policy

All customer data will be deleted either upon request or automatically following a termination or cancellation of a Select Star account. It may take up to 10 business days to complete the deletion following customer. Due to backups retention, some data might still remain in the internal backups and will be purged within 30 days after removing it from operational systems. Select Star users with an admin role can also remove a Data Source in Select Star application at any time. This will delete all of its metadata, query logs, and any user-created or Select Star-created metadata (i.e., description, comments, tags, popularity, lineage) from the Select Star application. LLM retention settings

Input data is processed transiently and not stored. Metadata is retained for troubleshooting, with configurable retention periods. Customers can request secure deletion, ensuring permanent removal.

LLM data tenancy policy

Our LLM uses secure multi-tenant architecture, encrypting data at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Customers retain data ownership, with strict role-based access controls. No data is shared without consent.

LLM data residency policy

Data is stored/processed in customer-specified regions, complying with GDPR and CCPA laws. Data is never transferred across borders without consent. Backups adhere to residency rules. Customers control regional preferences for enhanced compliance.
