The BrainBot app for Slack works with the BrainBot.ai platform to delivery training, training reinforcement boosters, and assessments to users. Content from BrainBot can include questions, download links, videos, and images which are combined in “Interactions” and delivered to learners using a preselected drip-feed schedule. By using this spaced repetition BrainBot can help improve retention and efficacy of any class, training, or eLearning event. Did you ever take a class, and discover later that you can’t remember anything you learned?It’s called the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve: we naturally forget most of the new information we learn within a few days and weeks - if we don’t use it.BrainBot's unique chatbot solution fixes your “forgetting curve” with systematic and meaningful reinforcement boosts – a technique called Spaced Learning or Spaced Practice which has been shown to improve long-term memory and knowledge retention. Starting a day or two after you complete an eLearning course or training class, BrainBot will send short interactions via Microsoft Teams or Email. Each interaction may consist of a question (multiple choice or text), a poll, a video, or another resource link designed to help you retain and even expand upon the information you learned.

Privacy & data governance
Data retention policy
For customers with active accounts on the BrainBot platform, all data is retained indefinitely unless removal is requested in conjunction with Bigger Brains' privacy policies.
For inactive customers, data is retained for a period of 6 months following the account deactivation, after which it may be removed.
Any customer data may be removed at any time if requested by a customer, user, or legal authority as descrived in our removal policy. We maintain a retention procedure which we apply to records in our care. In all cases, where your information is no longer required we will ensure it is disposed of in a secure manner and, where required by applicable law, we will notify you when such information has been disposed of.
In some circumstances we will anonymise your personal information (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
Data archiving and removal policy
BrainBot will retain user data for as long as it is necessary to provide the services and functionality of the app, after which it will be securely deleted. However, some data, such as user progress and achievements, will be retained indefinitely to enable users to access and track their learning history. In addition, BrainBot will maintain an archive of user data for a period of three years after deletion, to comply with legal obligations and potential future audits. The app will take reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all user data, including limiting access to authorized personnel only, using encryption and secure storage, and regularly testing and updating security measures.

Data storage policy
The BrainBot data storage policy is designed to ensure the secure and responsible storage of all user data. The app will store user data in a centralized, secure location, with restricted access to authorized personnel only. User data will be stored using encryption and other security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other potential security risks.
The app will also implement a data backup and disaster recovery plan, including regular backups of all user data and testing of disaster recovery procedures. Data backups will be stored in a secure location separate from the primary data storage, with appropriate redundancy and off-site storage measures in place to protect against data loss.
BrainBot will regularly review and assess the storage and security measures in place to ensure they are up-to-date and effective. Users will be notified in a timely manner in the event of any data breaches or other security incidents, and appropriate measures will be taken to mitigate the impact of such incidents.
Finally, BrainBot will comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing data storage and security, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You permit BrainBot to access, process and use a variety of data when you use the Service. When you use BrainBot with a Third Party Service, we obtain access to the data loaded into or stored in such Third Party Service by your organization’s users of such Third Party Service (collectively, the “Third Party Service Data”). When your Users communicate with our Service, or use our Service to distribute information to, or otherwise interreact with, other Users, our Service stores such communications (“Service Communications”). As between Customer and BrainBot, Customer shall be deemed the owner of the Third Party Service Data and the Service Communications (collectively, the “Customer Data”), subject only to the Operations License expressly granted by you to us in these Terms. For more information about the Customer Data we obtain and how we use it, please see our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for all your Customer Data. You represent and warrant that you own all your Customer Data, or you have all rights that are necessary to grant us the Operations License under these Terms. You also represent and warrant that neither your Customer Data, nor your use and provision of your Customer Data through the Service, nor any use of your Customer Data by BrainBot on or through the Service will infringe, misappropriate or violate a third party’s intellectual property rights, or rights of publicity or privacy, or result in the violation of any applicable law or regulation.
